The Tulip Proposal
Ever since puberty, Madison Ward has known her life was going to follow the same cursed course as every other woman in her family. Learning from their example, she’s come up with a few rules to live by. The most important? Never ever get married. But when the opportunity to buy a tulip farm with her two best friends—something they’ve been dreaming of since they were little girls—comes available, there’s a catch. The current owners will only sell to a husband and wife who’ll pass the farm down to their future children.
Devin Rhoades is frustrated at his job at a neighboring tulip farm, but with limited local career openings in his field, he doesn’t have many other options. At least, that’s what he thought until his best friend’s sister comes along and dangles the promise of his dream job in front of him. All he has to do is sign a few papers…one of which is a marriage license.
While Madison proposes a marriage of convenience followed by a hasty annulment, Devin’s integrity won’t allow him to perpetuate a ruse. If they are going to be husband and wife, it won’t be in name only.
